If you are interested in learning how to swing dance stop by one of the RIT Swing Dance Club meetings!
Beginner lessons take place Tuesdays 8:00-9:30 p.m. in the SLC Lower Level Dance Studio.
Intermediate lessons take place Fridays 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the SLC Upper Level Dance Studio.
All-level social dancing takes place Fridays 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the SLC Upper Level Dance Studio.
No experience or partner required for the beginner lessons! One quarter of swing club experience required for intermediate lessons.
Dance styles that we cover:
Lindy Hop – the original form of swing dance
Charleston – 1930s and 1920s style
6-count swing – or “East Coast Swing”
